                                  潘永信,研究員、博士生導師。
                                  1985年于武漢地質(zhì)學(xué)院獲學(xué)士學(xué)位,1988年于中國地質(zhì)大學(xué)獲碩士學(xué)位,1998年于中國科學(xué)院地球物理所獲博士學(xué)位。主要從事古地磁學(xué)、生物地磁學(xué)、生物源磁性納米礦物磁學(xué)與應用、巖石磁學(xué)、行星磁學(xué)等基礎性研究。目前兼任所學(xué)位委員會(huì )主任、所學(xué)術(shù)委員副主任、中國地質(zhì)學(xué)會(huì )古地磁專(zhuān)業(yè)委員會(huì )主任委員、國際大地測量與地球物理聯(lián)合會(huì )地球深部研究(SEDI)分會(huì )執委委員、美國地球物理聯(lián)合會(huì )John Adam Fleming Medal獎遴選委員、地球物理學(xué)報和Earth and Planetary Physics主編、國務(wù)院學(xué)位委員會(huì )學(xué)科評議組成員、國家自然科學(xué)基金委地球科學(xué)部咨詢(xún)委員、首次火星探測任務(wù)工程首席科學(xué)家等。曾獲國家自然科學(xué)二等獎(排名第三)、國家杰出青年基金、德國洪堡基金、中國青年科技獎、中國科學(xué)院優(yōu)秀研究生指導教師獎等。中科院創(chuàng )新團隊國際合作伙伴計劃、國家基金委創(chuàng )新研究群體學(xué)術(shù)帶頭人。2017年當選中國科學(xué)院院士。
