                            劉立波,博士,研究員、博士生導師。197011月出生,湖南省(常德)漢壽縣人。1992年畢業(yè)于湖南師范大學(xué),1997年于武漢大學(xué)獲空間物理博士學(xué)位。
                              1997
                          7月至19996月,中科院武漢物理與數學(xué)研究所博士后科研工作。
                              1999
                          6月博士后出站留所、副研究員。2002年研究員。
                              2004
                          年至今,中國科學(xué)院地質(zhì)與地球物理研究所研究員。
                             
                          從事空間物理研究工作,研究領(lǐng)域為電離層物理,主要從事電離層空間環(huán)境的觀(guān)測研究與模式研究。主要工作:系統研究了電離層太陽(yáng)活動(dòng)變化性;提出了利用電離層特征參量診斷高層大氣動(dòng)力學(xué)的新方法;在電離層天氣特征和電離層高度結構方面取得了系列有特色的研究結果。

                          2007年度國家杰出青年基金獲得者,國務(wù)院特殊津貼專(zhuān)家。正(曾)承擔多項國家面上基金和1項國際交流合作項目,承擔基金重點(diǎn)和973課題各1項,參加過(guò)兩項國家973項目課題和多項國家基金面上、重點(diǎn)項目。

                          在電離層氣候和電離層天氣方向開(kāi)展工作,研究電離層、中高層大氣中的空間天氣與氣候學(xué)及其相關(guān)的物理過(guò)程;開(kāi)展預報的新原理和新方法研究,建立空間環(huán)境模式。主要研究興趣:
                          ——電離層模式化研究(電離層經(jīng)驗模式與理論模式、數據同化研究);
                          ——電離層氣候研究(區域電離層、頂部電離層、電離層赤道異常等);
                          ——電離層天氣研究,特別是電離層與地磁活動(dòng)關(guān)系、極端條件下電離層狀態(tài)。
